An addition to the Maroa-Fosyth High School complex in Maroa, Illinois, to house the school district’s middle school wrapped up in spring 2023.
The 80,000-square-foot addition, which accompanied the retirement of the previous intermediate and middle school buildings, coincides with multiple renovations in the high school — including new band and choir spaces, a new fitness center, additional lab space, a renovated library and a STEM lab.
The middle school addition contains:
9 general classrooms
2 science labs
STEM lab collaboration and interventionist spaces
Large multi-purpose room to also serve as a storm shelter
Bodine’s work on the project included power distribution; lighting and site lighting; structured cabling for telecommunications; integrated and educational audio/visual; and fire alarms.
